The SOU Raiders travelled to Portland, OR and Tacoma,WA to take on Portland St. and Pacific Lutheran University this past weekend.  SOU won the two games by a combined score of 41-11.

Saturday night the Raiders faced off against the Portland St. Vikings.  SOU put on a fast break clinic led by the return of Sr. face-off specialist #6 Harley Humphrey who won 18 of the 20 f/o's he took.  Freshman Attack #94 Connor Mason was the benefactor of many of these fast breaks scoring 9 goals to tie the All-time record for goals in a game held by Max Raynor.  Sr. Captain LSM #23 Taylor Harrison wreaked havoc all over the field causing 13 turnovers, picking up a team record 22 ground balls in one game, scored 1 goal and dished out 1 assist.  Final score Raiders 22-7 over PSU.  Game ball went to #6 Humphrey for his play at the face-off X after being out for the past 3 games.

On Sunday the Raiders took on the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.   The Raiders started off slow and sloppy but Sr. Goalie #26 Zack Kowalski stood tall to help the Raiders lead 3-1 after the 1st.  From there on it was all Raiders, outscoring the Lutes 7-1 in the 2nd qt. to lead 10-2 at the half.  Sr. Captain #23 LSM Harrison continued to show why he is one of the best players in the PNCLL (if not the best) scoring 3 goals, handing out 1 assist, causing 8 turnovers and picking up 14 ground balls.  In the end the Raiders won 19-4.  Game ball went to Jr. Captain #29 Spencer Pregal who scored 5 goals and handed out two assists.  On the weekend Pregal had 11 goals and 6 assists.

The wins move SOU to 3-1 in the PNCLL South.  The regular season finale for the road warrior Raiders will be at their rival Western Oregon University on Saturday 4/22 at 5pm.   A win would lock up the #2 seed out of the PNCLL South for the Raiders.
