SOU Earns 100th Win in Program HistoryFeb. 20, 2017 Newberg, OR- SOU met Central Washington University for a neutral site game at Newberg High School on Sunday. The game pitted CWU's face-off specialist, who was named 1st Team PNCLL last season, against SOU's FOS who was named 2nd Team PNCLL. Sr. #6 "Hurricane" Harley Humphrey had something to prove and prove it he did by winning 15-21 face-offs. SOU started out red hot scoring the games first four goals from three different scorers. SOU's ride was on stopping CWU from clearing the ball on 17 of 33 chances in the game. The ride led to goals in the first qt. with Sophmore #17 Garrett Greenway pacing the Raiders scoring a hat trick in the qt. Senior Captain #7 Ari Feldman put in 2 of his own and Freshman #94 Connor Mason added 1 to make the score 6-1 in favor of the Raiders after the 1st. The Raiders Man-Down Defensive Unit continued to impress only giving up 1 Goal while playing for 5:30 minutes. Sr. Goalie #26 Zack Kowalski earned the Game Ball for his 14 save performance. In the end the Raiders won the contest 11-6. A special thanks goes out to all former players, coaches, and supporters as we would not be at win #100 without all of you!! Next up for the Raiders is the first home game of the season on Saturday night March 4th against PNCLL South Division foes the Portland Pilots. The game will be held at 7pm in RaiderHawk Stadium so come out and support the Raiders! Admission is free.
