Boise, ID- SOU avenged one of the their two losses on the Season by defeating Western Washington University on Saturday in the PNCLL Semifinals.

Sr. Captain #57 Ian Wilborn started the scoring off as #29 Spencer Pregal found him open on the crease.  #7 Ari Feldman did what he does best by splitting a double team and ripping a sidearm shot to put the Raiders up 2-0.  WWU would answer with under 2 minutes to go in the 1st to make the score 2-1.  #52 Scott Comer followed that by laying a big hit on a WWU player and ended up with a 2 minute non-releasable penalty which the Raiders were able to kill.

Three minutes into the 2nd qt. WWU tied the game at 2-2 as SOU did not slide.  SOU would answer on a set play as #22 Mungeam found #7 for his 2nd goal.  #6- Humphrey won the ensuing back to #23 Harrison who immediately passed to #57 Wilborn who found #22 Mungeam open on the crease to give the Raiders a 4-2 lead.  Minutes later #22 would strike again as #1 Morris found him open.  SOU found themselves two men down and WWU would score to make it 5-3.  SOU would commit another penalty just as the half expired.

WWU scored on their EMO to start the 2nd half to pull within 1 goal, 5-4.  The 3rd qt. was all Vikings as they kept the Raiders off the scoreboard and took the lead with two more goals making it 5-6 going into the final qt.

SOU found themselves Man Up after a penalty on the WWU Coach.  SOU would capitalize as #7 Feldman got his hat trick as #29 found him on the skip pass to tie the game at 6-6.  WWU would answer with a dodge from X to regain the lead.  SOU would answer just 2 minutes later on another EMO play as #17 Greenway found Sr. Captain #26 Scott Murphy cutting.  Penalties would continue to hurt the Raiders as #23 Harrison was flagged for a crosscheck.  WWU would score w/ 6:56 to go in the game, 7-8.  #7 Feldman scored his game high 4th goal to tie the game with 3:40 left.  WWU would retake the lead just 45 seconds later.  26 seconds after that Freshman #1 Andre Morris would not be denied as he dodged through the center of the Vikings defense to tie the game at 9-9.  The Vikings would call timeout with the ball and 18 seconds left but could not score sending the game to overtime.

Being the 3rd OT game of the Season for the Raiders, and having won both of those games, SOU was ready.  #6 Humphrey won the opening face-off forward to himself and pushed the fast break.  WWU was able to knock the ball to the turf but #57 Wilborn came up with the biggest GB of his career.  #57 moved the ball up top to #23 who passed it to #26 on the wing who then found a cutting #29 Pregal who ripped his 2nd game winning OT goal of the Season sending the Raiders to the PNCLL Championship game.

Game ball went to #7 Ari Feldman for his 4 goal performance.

SOU will face Gonzaga for the Championship Sunday at 11 am.
