SOU Suffers 2nd Straight Loss to #12 Sierra NevadaMar. 21, 2016 The Eagles from Tahoe came to Ashland on Sunday with a 6-1 record with their only loss being to #2 Concordia. The Raiders knew that they would have a tough time scoring as SNC held the dynamic offense of Cal. St. Fullerton to just 3 goals. The Eagles started the game like the home team as they outscored the Raiders 5-0 in the first qt. The final 3 qts. were much closer as the Eagles outscored the Raiders 6-4 in those 45 minutes to win the game 11-4. SOU's shooting continued to be an issue as the Raiders only put 8 of 20 shots on goal, scoring 4 of those 8. Bright spots for the Raiders were #22 David Mungeam who scored 3 of the 4 Raider goals, #6 Harley Humphrey winning 10/18 face-offs against the Eagles unit which won 88% of their face-offs the day before, and #23 Taylor Harrison who caused 8 turnovers, handed out an assist, and gathered 5 very hard fought GB's.
After some much needed rest and recovery the Raiders will host the Portland St. Vikings on Sunday April 3rd at Noon in Raider Stadium for the first PNCLL South Division Game.
