SOU Ends Fall Ball with a 10-9 Victory Against the Alumni
Saturday Night saw the current SOU Men's Lacrosse Team take on the Alumni. The game started off fast as the current team took the opening Face-off for a fastbreak goal to lead 1-0. That set the stage for the most competitive and phyiscal game in SOU/Alumni History. The current team continued to start out fast but the Alumni battled back to cut the lead to 1 goal at the end of the first half, score 6-5. The 2nd half continued to be very physical with great sportsmanship. The game was tied at 9-9 w/ 2 minutes to go. The current Team won the ensuing faceoff and called a timeout. Freshman Spencer Pregal scored his 2nd Goal of the Game w/ 1:38 to go which proved to be the difference in the game, 10-9. Hats off to all of the 22 Alumni who attended the game with a special shout out going to Earl Binks, a member of the original 2005 Team, who travelled all the way from Miami, FL even though He was unable to play in the game. The win makes the All-Time Series 3-2 in favor of the Current Team. Without a doubt the Young Guys will be a much tougher team after the physical beating they took at the hands of the older guys. Great way to end Fall Ball.
