Nevada Hands SOU First Loss of the Season
Nevada defeated SOU 7-3 on Sunday. The game was tightly contested and a defensive battle for the majority of the game. UNR led 2-1 after the 1st, 3-2 at the half, 4-2 after 3. SOU cut the lead to 1 at 4-3 early in the 4th. UNR answered w/ 2 goals in transition and one on EMO to end the game 7-3. SOU couldn't get their offense going against the Wolfpack. SOU did have some bright spots as Freshman LSM #23 Taylor Harrison collected 13 GB's while forcing multiple turnovers. The Raiders Defense caused 22 turnovers in all. Sophmore Goalie #11 Conner Kelley recorded 14 saves vs. 7 goals against. Next up for SOU is a road game at the University of Portland Saturday at 1pm.
