Head Coach 2005-Present Coach Brown grew up in Ellicott City, MD where he began playing Lacrosse in Middle School. His first year playing he started at close defense for the 13-0 undefeated County Champs the Green Hornets. Coach Brown was one of only two freshman to make the Varsity team at Mt. Hebron High School winning a Maryland State Championship in 1991 and a State Finalist in 1992. From there it was on to playing for Head Coach Joel Nachlas (Johns Hopkins 1970) at Virginia Tech University. During his time in Blacksburg,VA Coach Brown started at both Long-Stick Middie and Close Defense on a team that advanced to the National Final Four. While at SOU Coach Brown has helped to produce 11 All-Americans, 5 Defensive Players of the Year, 3 Scholar Athletes, and over 30 All-PNCLL performers. Coach Brown has been voted Coach of the Year 4 times in the PNCLL which is the most for any PNCLL Coach. In 2017 SOU and Coach Brown earned the teams 100th victory in program history. Coach Brown was also given a Lifetime Achievement Award by SOU.
