Mark Brown has been the Head Coach of SOU since the team was founded in 2005. Coach Brown was named the PNCLL D2 Coach of the Year in 2007 and 2009. Hailing from Ellicott City, MD, Mark played for Mt. Hebron on the 1990 State Champion team and the 1991 State Runner-up. Mark went on to play in college for Joel Nachlas at Virginia Tech University. During that time Coach Brown was a starter at close defense and VT made it as far as the National Semi-Finals. Overall coaching record at SOU of 63-43 with the only losing season (3-5) being SOU's inaugural year. SOU has made the PNCLL playoffs every year since.
