Broncos Announce 2008 Team Captains

Senior, Lindsay Campbell  (Darien, CT) and Junior Sarah Herscovici (Littleton, CO) have been named as captains for the 2008 Santa Clara lacrosse team.  The two were picked by the Santa Clara players and coaches this past week.

Campbell, is coming off an injury plagued but successful 2007 season scoring 28 goals and recording 9 assists.  She hopes to build off of last year by leading the Broncos on offense in her final season.  Lindsay is entering her fourth year as a starter on offense.  She was a 2006 WWLL All Star recipient and has received team awards of ‘Most Valuable Offender’ in 2007 and 2006 as well as ‘Rookie of the Year’ in 2005, as nominated by her coaches.

Herscovici, is coming off of a very successful 2007 campaign where was nominated to the WWLL All Star team, as a defender.  Sarah is entering her third season as a starter.   She is the current Team President for the Broncos and in the past has received team awards of the ‘Most Valuable Defender’ in 2007 as well as ‘Rookie of the Year’ in 2006, as nominated by her coaches.

The Broncos open up their 2008 regular season play against the Pepperdine Waves on Saturday, Feb. 2^nd.
