Santa Clara Begins the Season Ranked #4

In the first poll of the 2007 season, Santa Clara begins ranked #4 overall amongst 194 collegiate club teams in the country.  US Lacrosse's WDIA Ranking's Committee releases a weekly poll ranking the top 25 teams across the country as the season progresses.  The first poll of the season was released this morning and will occur every Wednesday thereafter until season end. 

Based on the current poll, Santa Clara's schedule includes 12 ranked opponents, 5 of which are currently ranked in the top 10.  Santa Clara's next opponent will be against the #2 ranked UC Santa Barbara Gauchos on Saturday March 3rd for the Bronco's home opener.
