From Playoffs to Nationals

Bookmark and Share Printer Friendly Apr. 19, 2016

The Broncos wrapped up their regular season on Sunday 4/10 with a tough away game against Cal Poly. The Broncos fought hard, but at the end of the day were unable to come out on top.

This past weekend the Broncos headed down to Santa Barbara as the number 3 seed for the WWLL playoffs. The Broncos started off the weekend on a positive note with a strong win over USD 15-10. Then the Broncos went on to face Cal Poly later that day. Again, it was a tough fight until the last seconds but Cal Poly walked away with the win. On Sunday, the Broncos faced UCSB in the consolation game. It was a very hard fought game again until the final seconds, but the Broncos' hard work payed off and they they won 12-11, earning them 3rd in the league.

We have received a bid to the 2016 National tournament and will be flying out to North Carolina to compete from May 2-7. The Broncos are super excited to have the chance to play four talented teams from across the nation throughout the week and will be focused on preparing these next two weeks. We are ready to come out strong and show everyone what Santa Clara lacrosse truly is.

As many know, the road to nationals can be a little pricey, so we will be fundraising at multiple locations such as Mission City Creamery, Pizza My Heart, and Tabling in Benson. Keep checking in on our twitter and Instagram to stay up to date with everything happening!

It's Always a Great Day to be a BRONCO!
