Playoff Loss @ OPC
A game that was expected to be a pretty even matchup was exactly that up through halftime, with equal numbers of shots on goal, saves and the score tied at 5 each at the intermission. Osseo Park Center got a power play goal early in the third, and then pulled away later in the game. Roseville had several turnovers that shut down several 2nd half possessions and OPC goal tending got stronger in the second half and the boys in black only got a single goal in the final two frames of the season. It would have been nice to have gotten at least one game deeper in the playoffs, but it has been a fun season, with some great comebacks, a few heartbreaking losses, amazing goals, great assist plays, tenacious defense and incredible individual efforts at various times. There was good weather and bad, but always friendship and a competitive spirit. We hope to see you all at the Team Banquet on June 3rd (you did RSVP, right?). Great big thank yous go out to the players, coaches, managers, parents and fans that helped make this season a good one! Good luck to the Seniors in whatever comes next!
