2008 Oklahoma Lacrosse Camp To all Lacrosse Players and Parents:
The
University of Oklahoma Sooners Lacrosse Club will be hosting a boys
youth lacrosse camp this summer in Edmond. We are bringing up the OU
Lacrosse coaching staff, former coaches, and other coaches from around
the area, along with many of the current members of the OU team to
teach our young Oklahomans this great sport.
Who: Boys Entering 1st through 9th Grades
When: August 9-10, 2008, from 8:00 am to 4:00 PM
Where: Cheyenne Middle School, Edmond, Oklahoma
$250/Player
Beginners
and experienced lacrosse players will receive instruction from lacrosse
fundamentals and basic skills to team play from our expert staff in a
fun, safe atmosphere. Each camper will take part in sessions of
instruction, competitions, mini-games, and scrimmages over the two
days. This is a full contact camp and all protective equipment is
required including a fitted color mouth gaurd. Campers need to bring a
personal plastic water bottle with their name on it as well, no glass
containers are permitted. Water will be available at all times during
the camp. Lunch will be provided for all campers on both days. Each Camper will also receive a camp t-shirt, reversible
practice jersey, and be entered into our nightly equipment drawings.
We will be hosting two camps:
- The Sooner camp which is designed for players from entering 1st through 9th grades with some experience
- The Rookie camp which is designed for players from entering 1st through 3rd grade with no experience.
*Note: All players in grades 1 through 9 are encouraged to attend. If you are in the 4th through 9th grade and this will be your first year to play (no previous experience) you are still encouraged to attend. We will work with all grade levels on Lacrosse basics including individual and team skills.
Registration deadline is July 25, 2008. Late registration is accepted as space permits
All
campers are also required to be members of USLacrosse. Membership
