A multi-sport athlete growing up (football, ice hockey, lacrosse), Coach Wabrek has been involved with middle school and high school lacrosse for the past fifteen years. A Salisbury School (CT) and Hobart College (NY) graduate, Coach Wabrek has been fortunate to be involved with winning lacrosse programs in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and now, Kentucky. At Suffield Academy (CT), Coach Wabrek led his team to a WNESSLA League Championship and two League Sportsmanship Awards. Most recently, he has spent his summers coaching club teams here in Kentucky in addition to working both instructional and recruiting camps locally and in the Northeast region. “I firmly believe that young high-school players today do not quite understand the commitment and dedication needed to get better every day, and my hope is that our staff this summer will quickly deliver the keys needed to not only start this so-called engine, but also keep it running beyond the summer months.” Coach Wabrek and his wife, Chelle, live in Old Louisville and both teach at Collegiate. They have three sons – Asher, Auden and Trillin – and three female dogs – Ouiser, Stella, and Deuce.
