Wolves Boys Earn Memorable Victory
Junior attacker Charlie Bassani of the Worthington Kilbourne High School boys lacrosse team was a freshman when he watched the Wolves defeat Upper Arlington twice during the 2009 season, including 7-6 in the Division I state final, for the program's first victories over the Golden Bears. All the memories of that game came flooding back as he helped the Wolves upset UA 10-4 in a Central Region final on May 28. Bassani and teammate Ryan Pritchett scored three goals apiece and goalie Alex Wylly had 11 saves as Kilbourne ended the Bears' 19-year streak of state final appearances. Click here to read more.
