Bassani, Meager lead Kilbourne to Division I FinalJun. 3, 2010 Bassani, Meager Lead Kilbourne to Division I Final Charlie Bassani scored two goals, James Meager had a goal and two assists, and Worthington Kilbourne defeated host Medina 8-7 in a Division I state semifinal lacrosse match yesterday. Kilbourne (17-5) will play Upper Arlington or Mason for the championship Saturday at Dublin Jerome. Upper Arlington led Mason 3-0 in the first quarter when the game was suspended because of inclement weather. They will resume the game at 7:30 tonight at Upper Arlington. Medina (15-2) led 6-4 at the half, but Kilbourne's Ryan Pritchett scored off a pass by Cory Spencer and then Spencer took a pass from Meager and tied the score on a behind-the-back goal. Tyler Johnson gave Kilbourne a 7-6 lead when he scored from behind the goal with 3:42 left in the third, and then Meager added a goal when he beat keeper Adam Haris with just three seconds remaining in the quarter. Cole Horwatt stopped 12 shots for Kilbourne and teammate Tae Young Kim was 12 for 18 on faceoffs. Medina led 1-0 and 2-1 in the first period, but Will Campbell and Bassani scored to tie it.
