Bassani Breaks Freshman Points Record
With three goals and two assists against Westerville South in the opening round of the 2009 playoffs, Freshman Charlie Bassani eclipsed one of the oldest records in Kilbourne lacrosse history when he broke the school record for most points in a season by a Freshman. Matt Knott's record of 12 points for a Freshman has stood since 1994. Bassani tied the 15 year old mark on the last game of the regular season when the Wolves defeated Westerville South 22-3. When Kilbourne played South three days later in the Regional Quarter Finals, Bassani smashed the record with a five point scoring effort to increase his current season total to 17 points.
