Wolves 2009 MSLCA Runner Up

Of the 16 teams from Ohio, Michigan and Western Pennsylvania that play in the MSLCA, only the top 4 teams that are selected for the "A" Bracket compete for the Tournament Championship. This year, Kilbourne made the "A" Bracket for the third consecutive year and were seeded third.

In the semifinal game, Kilbourne defeated second seed Brother Rice 9-8 in a thrilling game where the Wolves fought back after being down 5-4 at halftime. Will Campbell lead the Wolves with 3 goals and Pat Riffee and Drew Roper had two goals each. Brother Rice defeated Kilbourne earllier during the regular season 13-10.

In the MSLCA Championship Game, Kilbourne played number one seed Western Reserve Academy (WRA) and jumped out to a 7-4 lead late in the second quarter. However, WRA answered with 3 goals just before the half and went on to a 12-9 victory and won the MSLCA Championship for the second straight year. Cory Spencer and Drew Roper had 3 goals a piece the loss.
