Wolves Defeat Olentangy 8-6 With Strong 2nd Quarter

Wolves ring Victory Bell following 8-6 win over Olentangy -- May 3, 2018

The Wolves used a 7 goal explosion in the second quarter Thursday night to outlast the Olentangy Braves 8-6 and win a big, non-division match-up. The game was tied 0-0 after the 1^st quarter when Olentangy received a 3-minute illegal stick penalty to open the second quarter. The Wolves cashed in with 4 goals in the non-releasable penalty and kept the momentum with 3 more goals in the period. The Wolves built a 7-2 lead at halftime. Olentangy mounted a strong comeback, but the Wolves never trailed in the second half and prevailed 8-6. The win moves WKHS to 11-3 overall on the season. Olentangy had entered the game with a record of 12-2. The Wolves host Mason Saturday with Varsity at Noon & JV following at 2:00PM.
