Kilbourne Boys Prep for Tourney Opener
The Kilbourne boys team earned the second seed in the 20-team Division I Central Region tournament and will play host to 14th-seeded Pickerington Central or 17th-seeded Olentangy Orange in the second round Saturday, May 23. The winner will play host to fifth-seeded Dublin Coffman, eighth-seeded Olentangy or No. 18 Gahanna in a regional semifinal Wednesday, May 27. Kilbourne defeated Pickerington Central 19-9 on April 17, Coffman 9-4 on April 9 and Olentangy 6-3 on May 6. The Wolves did not play Orange or Gahanna. Kilbourne defeated Academy 11-6 on May 12, as Luke LeVette, Tyler Roe and Michael Roman each scored two goals and goalie Jacob Eymann had eight saves. The Wolves lost to Detroit Country Day 10-7 on May 17 to drop to 14-4.
