Coach Riffee is entering his 34th year of coaching. He earned varsity letters in football, baseball and lacrosse at his alma mater, The College of Wooster. His coaching experience includes volleyball, football, baseball, softball, wrestling, track and field and, of course, lacrosse. Coach Riffee has coached at all levels in club volleyball and lacrosse, WYB, middle school at Perry and McCord and was the varsity head coach of girls volleyball and track and field at Centennial High School in Columbus City Schools. He most recently served as the head lacrosse coach at Worthington Kilbourne from 2007-2009. After retirement, he quickly returned to Kilbourne in 2010 as a volunteer assistant on the lacrosse staff, a position he currently holds.

 

During his tenure as a lacrosse coach at Worthington Kilbourne, he has been a part of coaching staffs that have produced 3 state runners-up and 2 state championship teams. He has been married to his wife, Kate, for 33 years. Mike and Kate have 2 children. Megan, a teacher and coach in Worthington, is married to WK offensive coordinator, Mike Lippert. They have 1 child, Conner. His son, Pat, was a high school All-American player on Kilbourne’s 2009 state championship team and played lacrosse at Ohio State.
