Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association Tournament

    The  2013 Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association (MSLCA) Tournament was held this past weekend at Thomas Worthington and Worthington Kilbourne high schools. Kilbourne took home 3rd place in the 'A' Bracket and several Kilbourne boys received 'All Midwest' Honors:

    1st Team All Midwest: Jake Roberts, Matt Wylly and Jonathan Watson

2nd Team All Midwest: Joe Davis, Taylor Wilson and Michael Viera

Honorable Mention All Midwest: James Gundling, Dylan Bishop and Josh Happ

         In Man Up Program, Wolves make a difference in the community

    Beyond teaching lacrosse skills, the Worthington Kilbourne lacrosse boys program strives to develop its players' character and help them grow as citizens. To that end, for the seventh consecutive year the Wolves are participating in the Man Up Program.

    So far this preseason and season, most Wolves players have  participated in one or more projects for the community-service effort, donating a total of about 650 hours of their time and making life a little bit better for others.

    Players and parent volunteers have socialized and played lacrosse with underprivileged youngsters, delivered meals to those who might otherwise go hungry, supported an ill teammate, collected items for a food pantry, collected items for military service members and collected books and read to children. Among the groups benefiting are the Dowd Center, Meals on Wheels and the Worthington Food Pantry.

   With a few more initiatives planned, the Wolves will continue their efforts to help the community and build their own life skills.

    Kilbourne Lacrosse needs your help finding a bone marrow transplant match for the mother of former Kilbourne players, Drew and Matt Roper. If you are between the ages of 18 and 60, please read more and get tested as soon as possible. All it takes is a cheek swab. match4kim

WOLVES ANNOUNCE 2013 SCHEDULE 

   The Worthington Kilbourne Wolves have announced their 2013 season schedule.  Once again Coach May and his staff have put together a tough slate of games that will test the team's ability against some the best talent from the Midwest and beyond.  Varsity home game highlights include visits from Culver (Ind.), Cincinnati Moeller, Cincinnati St. Xavier, Dublin Jerome and Saint Louis University High School.

   In all the Wolves will be playing 16 regular season games in addition to two Midwest Scholastic Tournament games.

   The Wolves take to the road early with scrimmages against Trinity Pawling (NY) and Fallston High School (MD).  It doesn't get any easier coming home to a game against Moeller followed by a visit by Midwest powerhouse Culver Academy (Ind).  The battle for bragging rights in Worthington takes place at Kilbourne this year on April 17th!

   The Midwest Scholastic Tournament will be hosted at Thomas Worthington again this year on May 3rd and 4th. This is a great opportunity for all lacrosse fans to come watch a weekend of outstanding lacrosse.
