Patrick Rigney returns to Colonials sideline for his second season as an Assistant Coach and head of all media, stats, and information.

Rigney, a 2013 graduate of the George Washington University Law School, played in all twelve games for the Colonials during their inaugural MCLA season and was a productive two-way midfielder. He racked up 18 ground balls and played the role of short-stick defensive midfielder on the man down unit. He earned Academic All-American honors from Inside Lacrosse Magazine for balancing a rigorous academic schedule while excelling on the field.

Prior to attending law school, Rigney attended the University of Notre Dame, where he worked as a student aide in the Sports Information Office. In that role, he helped to manage all of the lacrosse team's statistics and media strategy.

At the high school level, Rigney was a three-year letterwinner at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Wheaton, MD. He was an honorable mention All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference pick as a senior defensive midfielder.

Rigney lives in Washington, DC and works as a Law Clerk for a Circuit Court Judge in Montgomery County, MD. He recently served as a criminal prosecutor in Montgomery County, MD.  He still plays competitively in area club leagues.
