DVC prevails in high noon shootout!

The Vikings defeated host Nevada-Reno Wolfpack on Sunday 10-5.  The Vikings were led by midfielder Chris Banks, midfielder Jakob Ternes, and Attackman Jake McIntyre who each scored two goals.  Cal Boone, Chris Moradi, Devon Bahary and Curtis Bowden all added solo goals to complete the scoring for the Vkings, who led at halftime 8-2.  Continued stingy defensive play and quality goalie play by Michael Schleicher and Alec Hamlin prevented the Wolfpack from making a comeback.  The Nevada-Reno coaching staff and team held a BBQ for the Vikings after the game and graciously provided the team and coaches with a tour of the campus.  The Viking staff and players were very impressed with the campus and the hospitality of our hosts.  Next up:  a controlled scrimmage with ClifBar on Wednesday, November 7th at DVC at 7:15 p.m.  Next game:  Stanford University will visit DVC for a faceoff at 5:00 p.m. at Viking Field.
