Vikings take two of three at tourney

The Vikings continued their winning streak over Division II opponents today in the Santa Clara University Tournament by defeating UC Santa Cruz 7-2, and St. Mary's College 8-2.  Their lone loss came at the hands of the hosts.  Santa Clara University, intent on avenging the Vikings' decided victory last year, held off the Vikings 7-5, in an exciting, evenly matched contest.

Next up for the Vikings: the UC Davis Tournament on Saturday, October 27th.   The Vikings are scheduled to play three formidable Division I opponents:  UC Davis, UC Berkeley (Cal), and Chico State University.  The specific game times are now posted on the schedule

For the first time, DVC will be splitting the squad into two teams.  The second (B) team will be taking on Sierra, Nevada-Reno, and UOP as noted on the schedule.
