Vikings over UOP 20-3

The Vikings, even without five starters due to injury or illness, used their "thunder" sticks to defeat University of Pacific 20-3 in Stockton on Wednesday evening, and were then treated to the accompanying "lighting show" on the way home through Rio Vista.  Fortunately, only a few sprinkles fell at the beginning of the game without any sign of lightening, which otherwise  could have forced the cancellation of the game for obvious safety reasons.  The victory illustrates the depth of talent that DVC has this year, and it was an excellent chance to get all players ready for the upcoming game versus Sierra College, one of the newest community colleges to form a team, which will be hosted at DVC on Wednesday, October 17th at 7:15 p.m., as well as the upcoming tournaments at Santa Clara (October 20th) and Davis (October 27th).
