Sonoma State take hard fought victory over Vikings

In a very physical and fast game, the host Sonoma State Seawolves defeated the Vikings 7-4.  Early in the first quarter the Vikings and Seawolves exchanged goals, 1-1.  The Seawolves realizing that the Vikings were a serious threat, dug down deep into their top 20, Division I talent and scored three unanswered goals to take a 4-1 lead at halftime.  After two more goals to start the second half by the Seawolves, Jarret Hassfeld ripped a shot into the net to make it 6-2.  Subsequent to the Seawolves' final goal of the game, the Vikings charged forward by scoring the last two goals of the contest, running out of time to make the miraculous comeback.  The Vikings showed very well against this top D-1 power.
