Vikings continue to dominate D-2

On Saturday, the Vikings continued their domination over top level Division 2 teams, by defeating St. Mary's College, the ninth ranked D-2 school in the country by a score of 9-5.  The tournament formatted game, featuring a 25 minute running clock for each half, saw the Vikings early in the game exchange two goals with the Gaels.  At 2-2 midway in the first half, Hassfeld and Callahan scored consecutive goals to take a two goal lead at halftime 4-2, a lead they would not relinquish.  Both Hassfeld and Callahan scored again in the second half.  Jake McIntyre, Cal Boone, and John Solomon rounded out the nine goals.
