Viking Lax Receives Honors for Volunteer Service

Gregory Gardens Elementary Schools Honors Vikings! 

Shuleen Martin, the President of the PTA of Gregory Gardens Elementary School invited Viking Lacrosse members to their dinner and recognition ceremony honoring their volunteers during the school year.  Last September a swarm of Vikings descended on the school clearing weeds, chiseling out and replanting hardened flower beds, trimming trees and hedges, and clearing debris from the roofs of their buildings.  In return, the parents, children and employees of the school braved a rain-soaked game between the Vikings and Santa Clara University and fed the Vikings with BBQ hamburgers after the game.  The Vikings rewarded the "bravehearts" by defeating SCU 8-4 that evening.
