SOU Defeats UPS 17-3
SOU took on the University of Puget Sound Loggers on Sunday in Hillsboro, OR. It was good to see UPS back on the field after leaving the PNCLL last season. SOU showed their experience in this one by capitalizing on UPS's aggressive defense. SOU was able to run our offensive sets w/ fairly solid execution putting in 17 goals on the day. SOU was led by Captain #11 Sean McQuown who scored 6 goals and handed out 1 assist. Fellow Captain #2 Patrick Verdun scored 4 goals while also landing 1 assist. #42 Joey Moseanko led the Raiders in assists with 3 while scoring 1 goal. #3 Wyatt Knight scored 3 goals and had 1 assist while creating many good looks for himself and others. Jr. midfielder #4 Max Raynor scored his first two goals of the season w/ two dodges from up top. Congratulaitons to Freshman #22 Nick Perry who scored his first collegiate goal and handed out 2 assists. UPS has some solid players and they were able to get many good offensive looks forcing #7 Boggess to make 13 saves. UPS played two goalies in the game which combined for 15 saves. Thanks to the Loggers for meeting us in Hillsboro. Next up for the Raiders is a game vs. the St. Marys Gaels in Redding, CA at 7 pm on Saturday 2/26.
