SOU Shuts Out Willamette at Home 10-0
SOU recorded their 2nd shutout at home in team history on Sunday. Willamette came to Ashland w/ a depleted roster for a league game. SOU was able to control the game via face-offs and long possessions. SOU put in 5 goals in the first half to lead 5-0. SOU added 5 more goals in the 3rd to finish off the scoring at 10-0 as neither team scored in the 4th. Sophmore #42 Joey Moseanko scored 3 goals in his first game starting on attack. Joey had been SOU's starting LSM but made the move to attack due to some key injuries. Sr. Captain #6 Bubba VanEgdom added 4 goals to lead SOU in scoring. Jr. Goalie #7 Carter Boggess recorded 9 saves in his first shutout in college. In defeat WU showed plenty of heart but their team was severly depleted due to injuries. Thanks for coming down as it is always a pleasure to host you guys. The win moves SOU to 5-4 on the season. SOU travels to Portalnd to take on the Pilots next Sunday at Delta Park.
