Coach Farabee has had a lifelong interest and involvement in sports. Hailing from Jacksonville and Miami, Florida, he was a three sport athlete in high school, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball, and has continued to play and coach various sports through the years. He has coached youth level basketball, baseball, and soccer. At the high school level he has coached girls’ soccer and basketball. He has been involved in lacrosse for several years, working with his two sons as they played high school lacrosse. Both his sons now play at the collegiate level. When not coaching lacrosse, Coach Farabee teaches science at the JF Webb School of Health and Life Sciences, and lives in northern Durham county with his wife, Robin, and their As the head coach at JF Webb High School, Coach Farabee has an overall record of 20-41, with 16 of those wins coming in the 2012 and 2013 seasons. He has coached 15 All Conference selections, including six First Teamers, as well as coaching Webb's first ever All Region and All State honoree (Rufus Terry, c/o '13, 2nd Team All Region, 2nd Team All State). In addition to these post-season awards for his players, Coach Farabee has also coached a North Carolina Great 38 game participant (Rufus Terry, 2013), a Senior All Star game that showcases the best NC senior talent in the state at the end of the year each season.
