Catch up with the Lacrosse Club of HogtowneFeb. 15, 2009 The Lacrosse Club of Hogtowne has 1 regular season game left @ Orlando on Feb 21. After that, Hogtowne will host the Florida Lacrosse League Playoffs at Sylvan Lake Park in Sanford, FL. Hogtowne had a tough weekend at the first crossover back in November that saw them drop two games. The first was a narrow 15-12 loss to Miami and the second a wild shootout with Ft. Lauderdale that saw Lauderdale break a 22-22 tie with the game winning goal in the final 30 seconds of regulation. Both games were back and forth and Hogtowne will need to avenge both those losses in the playoffs. Next up was a tilt with divisional rival Embry Riddle. An undermanned Hogtowne squad was able to pull out a 20-8 victory. Hogtowne beat the Tampa Thunder @ Tampa in a hard fought 9-7 win, then sandwitched two tough victories over Jacksonville around a blowout win over newcomer Wesley Chapel. The 2nd crossover say Hogtowne defeat Palm Beach and Ft. Myers. After a forfeit victory over Embry Riddle, Hogtowne sits at 8-2 anxiously waiting for the result of the 2/15/09 Ft. Lauderdale - Miami game to see if they are eligible for the #2 seed in the playoff.
