TRY OUTS

Hello Everyone!
Lacrosse season is finally upon us! This email has everything you need to know about tryouts so be sure to read the email to its entirety.
- TRYOUTS
- When: Tuesday February 16th and Wednesday February 17th 5-7pm
- Where: Oldham County YMCA Indoor Fields: 20 Quality Place, Buckner KY 40010
- What to Bring:
- $10 Tryout Fee (cash or check made out to Ballard Girls Lacrosse)
- Paperwork (more details below)
- Tennis shoes or turf shoes, goggles, mouthguard, sticks, water
- Other: CTSP training will not be taking place on Tuesday 2/16 and there will not be an organized carpool to tryouts. If you need a ride, feel free to reply all but please coordinate on your own. Thanks!
- PAPERWORK
- What is needed (attached):
- Ballard Girls Lacrosse Registration Form (including mandatory up to date US Lacrosse membership #)
- Physicals and Medical Packet
- Collection Dates:
- Thursday 2/11 at 2nd Presbyterian Church outside the gym sometime between 4-6pm (exact time to be sent out later this week)
- Monday 2/15 in the small cafeteria at Ballard immediately after school until 3pm
- It is preferred that you turn in all necessary paperwork ahead of time either on 2/11 or 2/15 but if you cannot do so then we will also be collecting paperwork on Tuesday 2/16 before tryouts begin
- PLEASE DO NOT TURN IN YOUR PAPERWORK TO THE SCHOOL
- If you do not have the necessary paperwork turned in by 5pm on 2/16 then you will be unable to participate in tryouts until those forms are turned in
- If you have played a fall sport please contact Lisa Whalen at llwhalen@aol.com so we can double check that Chris Kinney has all of your paperwork
- TRYOUT PROCESS
- Attached is the general schedule and information sheet regarding tryouts
- Day one will focus more on physical performance while day 2 will be more lacrosse specific
- A rating sheet will be used and filled out by each coach to help with the evaluation process
- Decisions on team placement/player status will be sent individually via email Wednesday night. There will be a sheet at tryouts to fill out your preferred email address to have your result sent to. Please be sure this email address is accurate. A response will be needed to this email to ensure that everyone has received their email.
- PARENT MEETING
- If you make the team, the parent meeting will be on Thursday February 18th at 6:30pm in the large cafeteria. At least one parent representative for each player needs to be there at this meeting. Fees and expectations will be discussed
- BONDING TRIP
- The bonding trip to Cincinnati will be February 27th and 28th. The itinerary is attached. More details will be sent out after tryouts
