Face-Off Clinic at Alpharetta High School
Jan. 8, 2010
FaceOff Club is happy to announce the Georgia FO Clinic and Regional Qualifier for the 2010 US FO Championship. The clinic will be held on Sunday, Jan 24 at Alpharetta High School from Noon until 4pm. At the recent National FaceOff Combine invitational competition, 2 of the Final 4 competitors were from Georgia and had previously worked with FaceOff Club. There is a great deal of lacrosse talent in GA, especially among FO specialists.
We will be taking players from A to Z. All the way from basic fundamentals like stance, grip, and setup to advanced concepts like coordinating your wingmen for more faceoff wins and transition offense. Our players make great gains during their time at this clinic. The final component of the clinic will be a tournament competition to determine regional finalists for the 2010 U.S. FaceOff Championship which will be held in June and the final matchup will take place on the field just before the start of a Major League Lacrosse game. Steve Knezick was the 2009 Champion and recently committed to the Ohio State University.
THIS SKILL IS UNDER COACHED OR NOT COACHED ON MOST TEAMS! We can take your skills to the next level. In the 2009 season, players from 12 NCAA tournament teams have been coached by and consulted with our staff, and we had 6 players make All-Conference teams, and an All-American. We also coached 7 High School All-Americans in '09. We currently have 31 active collegiate FO specialists who we coached in the last off-season.
