Matt Pearce to play NCAA Lacrosse for Vassar CollegeJan. 29, 2008 Alpharetta High School senior, Matt Pearce, recently accepted an invitation to play NCAA Lacrosse for Vassar College. Matt is the first Alpharetta lacrosse player to move onto the NCAA level. Vassar is a Division III school whose lacrosse team began a conference schedule in 2001 as a member of the Liberty League. Information on Vassar Lacrosse can be found at: www.vassar.edu. Matt began his high school lacrosse career in 2005 as a freshman and inaugural player on Alpharetta’s first Varsity team. He has consistently earned high accolades from the coaching staff and will begin his senior season as a team elected captain. Matt’s dedication to lacrosse is founded within the academic classroom where Matt has consistently been named a Scholar Athlete. Matt looks forward to his senior season and will surely be missed as he begins his collegiate career at Vassar during the 2009 season. Congratulations Matt, we are all very proud of you.
