 Heather Berryman, a 2001 graduate of Chattahoochee High School, has been involved in lacrosse since she began playing in the eighth grade. Originally from New Jersey, she began playing lacrosse in middle school and continued playing throughout high school when her family relocated to Georgia. Her senior year she was 1 of 3 girls chosen to represent Georgia and play on the Southeast team in the Women’s National Tournament in Pennsylvania. After graduating from Chattahoochee, Heather coached their JV team during the 2002 season. She played on Georgia Tech’s club team in 2003, and she also coached Marist’s 7th & 8th grade girls team in 2007. While living in Augusta the last few years, Heather worked with the girls lacrosse team at Greenbriar high school, and she also volunteered with the YMCA’s U-16 league.
Heather graduated from Augusta State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She currently works at Addison Elementary in Marietta as their physical education paraprofessional. She is also completing her Master’s degree in physical education through the University of South Florida. Coach Berryman is excited to join the Alpharetta lacrosse program, and is looking forward to a great JV season!
