Laurie, originally from Ohio, was always an athlete. She enjoyed swimming, volleyball, basketball, and running track for her high school teams. Upon graduating, she attended Ashland University (Ashland, Ohio) and earned her degree in Early Childhood Education. While attending school, Laurie played 4 years of Rugby for Ashland’s Club team. After graduating from school and relocating to Cincinnati, she met her husband, Eric, while teaching. After a year of teaching, they moved to Georgia and found jobs in Fulton County. It was then, that coaching caught her eye. Laurie has been a part of the Alpharetta Coaching Staff for the past 5 seasons; first starting at the Junior Varsity level for 2 years and then moving to the Varsity level. She is having a wonderful time coaching and is honored to have the opportunity to influence young girls in the community. Off the field, she still enjoys competing in sports through 5K and 10k races and her newest activity; triathlons. During the summer, Laurie enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and children; Cameron and Madelyn.
