Important Lacrosse updates:

This Sunday, December 20th, there will be a Mt. Pleasant Lax Clinic at Park West Rec. Center. This event starts at 1p and ends at 4p. The ages that will be there will be from 6-14, boys and girls.

This will be a clinic that will help gauge interest and eventually create teams through the Mt. P Rec. Dept as well as the local middle schools.

We need Wando lacrosse players to come and help promote the sport. Bring your sticks and wear some Wando lax gear.

All players participating in preseason conditioning, weight training or sport specific workouts must submit a physical form to Mr. Buchman if their last physical was before Apr. 1st 2009. This needs to be updated by January 4th at the latest. I have posted the physical form online at www.wandoathletics.org in the Boys Lacrosse link under Team Files.

Preseason conditioning is currently in session.  Girls meet at Park West Rec on Monday and Thursday at 4.  Boys meet at Park West Rec on Tuesday and Thursday at 4 with cleats.

Please put Monday, October 19th on your calendars as this is Wando All Sports Booster Club Night at Chili's Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant.  Chili's will generously donate a percentage of the sales this night back to the WASBC, so come out to Chili's and show your support!

There will be an opportunity to participate in lacrosse this Fall. Lowcountry Lacrosse is creating a Fall Ball League. Please look over these details.


What: HS Boys Fall Lacrosse League
When: Tues/ Thurs. Sept. 29th- Nov. 19th, 2009
Time: 600-730p
Where: Sullivans Island Park
Cost: $129 per player by 9/14/09 (+$15 for late sign ups)

**A US Lacrosse membership is required**

All forms must be filled out and handed in at Lowlax. Checks need to be made out to Lowcountry Lacrosse, LLC

Coaches and Referees will be provided to ensure proper play and instruction. Each player will receive a Lowlax Fall Ball pinney as well.

This is a great opportunity for all HS lacrosse players to participate in the game and to develop their skills for the spring season. I hope to see all of you there.
