Hello U of M Men's Lacrosse Parents and a special welcome to the Freshman Parents -

I trust that all of you had a terrific summer!

As most may be aware, the Men's Lacrosse team has a parent group, which organizes certain activities and events around the lacrosse team's schedule. Last year, Betsy Meter (and a host of others) helped make the parent group terrific, and this year Lydia Delis-Schlosser and I hope to do the same. Please keep in mind that to make the parent group successful, it takes all of us.

Team Parent Meeting

To kick things off this fall, we will be scheduling a team parent meeting on October 24th.  The location and time are yet to be determined, but October 24th is the date.  Once the game time is set and our location is secure we will send out more details. Please plan your travels so that you will be in Ann Arbor on the morning of October 24^th.

We understand that not everyone will be making the pilgrimage to Ann Arbor for fall ball, but if you are planning to come to only one game, it would be great to have you attend the weekend of the parent meeting. Never fear, if you are unable to attend, e-mails will be sent out after the meeting alerting everyone to what's happening.

U of M Men’s Lacrosse Parent Website

In addition to the parent kick-off meeting, a website has been developed for U of M Lacrosse Parents and interested parties. This site will be a constant source of information throughout the year, and will provide an interactive feature for organizing our popular pre-game tailgates.

This is a “private” website.  To access go to: http://laxteams.net/univofmichlax/. 

In order to access the website, you will first need to set up your one time login.  Attached please find the login instructions.

If you have any questions, or if I can assist, please feel free to reach out to me.

I recommend that you complete the login on a computer, then once successful, login with your phone/tablet/etc.

Other Tidbits:

Senior Night will be during the last regular Season Home game against Johns Hopkins. The actual date and time are still tbd.

Spring Break in (sunny) Southern California J:

The actual game and accommodation location is still in the works.

The Team will probably fly into LAX but that has not been confirmed.

The Spring Break tentative schedule is as follows:

2-25-16   Fly out Thursday   

2-25 & 26-16   Practice Thursday and Friday

2-27-16   Game is Saturday 

2-28-16   Sunday they are off and fun activities

2-29-16   Monday Practice and maybe other activities

3-1-16     Tuesday fly home

More details to come as the plans solidify but this should help some of you make plans.
