UCSB women's lacrosse parent communication is available on the UCSB Women's Lacrosse Fan Page on Facebook. Trading e-mail addresses and phone numbers on the sidelines during games is also a time honored way to be able to get in touch with someone later too.  Hotels
A great way to get a good rate on a hotel in Santa Barbara is to use our Hotels.Com affiliate link.
Additionally, if you use this link our program receives a 5.5% commission. This is true no matter where you stay as long as you enter Hotels.com through this link. If you go to Chicago, for example, and book your stay our program can benefit. Bookmark it if you like and start using it.
Traveling Well
The families of our players are an important part of our program. We know the support our student-athletes receive from their family members runs the gamut of psychological to philosophical to physical. Family members are welcome at as many games as they can attend to show support for the team on and off the field. The phrase that a "program travels well" is often used in sports. UCSB Women's Lacrosse would like to travel well and have our fans outnumber our opponent's fans home and away.
Post-Game Tailgating
The other component of support that can't be overlooked is the tailgate after the game. Home game and away game get-togethers following our contests, win or lose, are an important time for the players. After our athletes go all out in the game it's important for them to eat within 30 to 45 minutes of the strenuous activity. The best way is to have the post-game meal right at the field. Also important is the bonding everyone does during the tailgate. The post-game tailgate and the camaraderie that comes with it is important to the program. Parents use our UCSB Women's Lacrosse Fan Page to coordinate what they're bringing to the tailgate.
Team Membership Particulars
Information specific to students joining the team that might interest parents may be found on our Team Member Info page. This includes specifics about player dues, fundraising responsibilities, attendance policy, etc.
Team Funding Sources
The program has four primary sources of income for it's budget. These sources combine to cover expenses for A, B & C team travel, clothing, coaching stipends, entry fees, hotel nights, officiating and other game day expenses. Annual expenses exceed $165,000 for all three teams.
