The Bruins continue to be challenged versus tough WWLL teams, as they traveled to No. 3 Chapman on Saturday and faced No. 10 UC Davis at home on Sunday.

No. 7 UCLA had a strong start to the weekend at Chapman, where the Bruins never once allowed the Panthers to take the lead. The Bruins took a 7-4 advantage going into halftime, propelled by six points (1 G, 5 A) from Attacker Allie Simpson. Chapman wouldn't go down without a fight, and managed to tie the game at 9 with less than 13 minutes left. The Bruins turned up the gas to outscore the Panthers 4-0 in the final 12 minutes for a 13-9 victory. Simpson and Midfielder Morgan Oberstein combined for 14 points to lead the offense, while Goalie Devon Comito anchored the defense with 12 saves.

Sunday was an entirely different story for the Bruins, who fell behind early to UC Davis, entering the second half with a 3-7 deficit. UCLA came out of halftime with a renewed sense of confidence, and steadily fought back to outscore the Aggies 8-3 over the remaining 30 minutes. Six different players contributed points to the balanced Bruin offense, with 5 of 11 goals assisted. Isabel Angell and Allie Steinberg led UCLA's defense with a combined 10 ground ball controls and 2 caused turnovers. Oberstein added 3 caused turnovers, 3 ground ball controls, and 4 goals to the match. Comito notched another 12 saves, bringing her save percentage to an impressive 57.7% over the season.

The Bruins improve to 8-1 overall, and a perfect 6-0 in WWLL play. Next up, UCLA travels to Santa Barbara for a WWLL Central match-up with the No. 6 UCSB Gauchos.
