TWHS v WKHS game
We have combined efforts with WKHS to hold a cancer awareness night through fundraising and by honoring Drew George, a WKHS student, and our own Coach Gussler. We expect to have a large crowd and many alumni in the stands due to the holiday weekend. We look forward to working with our opponent as we both promote community service. Listed below are ways that you can contribute to the community during this eventful game: 1. Purchase a commemorative t-shirt for the game (or wear another GussStrong item). Proceeds will be given to the George and Gussler family foundations. We will have a limited amount of t-shirts available for purchase the night of the game.
2. Bring a nonperishable box or can food item to donate to the Worthington Food Pantry. This has been a challenge for the past couple years between schools. Last year we collected more that 400 pounds of food to donate.
3. Buy a raffle ticket at the game for our own "Taste of Worthington", a chance to win some gift cards from local establishments. Proceeds will also be donated.
4. Thursday will also be our WYB Night in which WYB lacrosse players will be admitted to the game free of charge.
5. Sign up online to work in the concession stand, sell raffle tickets, offer to distribute t-shirts, or collect food items at the gate. (Contact Mikie, Jill & Jen)
