2014-20152014 USC Women’s Lacrosse Club Dues, Practices, and Benchmarks
Dues Dues are inclusive* (the team pays for all in-season lodging, transportation, flights, most meals when traveling, uniforms, officials, tournament fees, coaches, and team gear). Individual gear is separate. Dues are non-refundable. Fall Dues: $200.00 (includes team gear) Due by October 1st Spring Dues: $500.00 Due by Decemeber 1st Total Dues Summary: $700.00
Fall Practice Times Tuesday 8-10 pm, on Cromwell Field Conditioning Practices A team players are required to attend 1 of the following 2 conditioning practices: Monday 6 - 8 pm, on Cromwell Crescent Wednesday 6:30-7:30, Cromwell
Spring Practice Times Tuesday 6-8 pm, on Cromwell Field Wednesday 6-8 pm, on Cromwell Crescent (conditioning) Thursday 6-8 pm, on Cromwell Field
Fitness Benchmarks Players hoping to compete in the Spring season should show that they are capable of meeting the following criteria: 1.) Either Run 1-mile in under 7 minutes and 30 seconds OR Run 2-miles in under 16 minutes 2.) Sit-up max test: perform at least 70 modified sit-ups (per USMA guidelines) in under two minutes 3.) Push-up max test: perform at least 35 push-ups (per USMA guidelines) in under two minutes 4.) Jump Rope: 2 minutes of continuous revolutions: must achieve over 275 rotations Criteria 1.) Ability to demonstrate strong stick/catching skills using both hands 2.) Must demonstrate speed, endurance, quickness, and field awareness 3.) Must be coachable and accepting of club philosophy 4.) Ability to throw/catch in pressure situations 5.) Demonstrate knowledge of man, zone, spy (match-up zone), post defenses 6.) Be a confident, reliable, determined and dedicated teammate 7.) Evaluation of performance in man-up, man-down and even situations
