Trojans Win Season Opener, 20-7

Irvine, Calif. (January 30, 2008)--The USC Women's Lacrosse team opened the 2008 season with an impressive 20-7 victory over the UC Irvine Anteaters.  Ten different Trojans scored in the contest. Junior attacker Sarah Heinbigner  led all scorers with six points (4 goals, 2 assists). Goalies Missy Krajewski and Jillian Pieta combined for sixteen saves.

Southern California (1-0, 0-0) will next travel to the University of San Diego to play the Torreros on February 9, 2008.
