Boys Lacrosse - Code of Conduct

1.) BE A TEAMMATE. We are a TEAM, act like it. Be a teammate first, a lacrosse player second. WE are only as strong as our weakest player. HELP each other. Let the Coaches, coach and players, play. DO NOT yell at a teammate or talk back to a coach, EVER.

2.) BE DISCIPLINED. Not only on the field but in every aspect of your life. You are a representative of this lacrosse team, your coaches and your city. Practice being disciplined in everything you do. The team (players, coaches and parents) that maintains their COMPOSURE throughout the game, especially when things are not going their way, is the team that will win in the end.

*Fighting, swearing, insubordination, and general lack of respect to parents, players, coaches, and the game itself will not be tolerated. This organization focuses on playing the game the way it’s meant to be played. Any player found in violation of these guidelines will be subject to suspension or dismissal at the review of the coaches. Financial refund to a dismissed player will go under board review but is unlikely.

3.) PLAY YOUR GAME. Let your play TALK for itself. DO NOT talk trash to any player or referee. Talking trash is a SIGN OF WEAKNESS. DO NOT allow the other team to get in your head. Stay DISCIPLINED.

4.) BE THERE. We only get better together. You are expected to be at EVERY practice, game and event. It is not fair to your teammates and coaches that are present and working hard if you are not. If you are unable to attend, for any reason, YOU must call the coaching staff and explain BEFORE THE START OF PRACTICE.

* If you are not present, you will not know the system. If you do not know the system, you become a liability to your teammates in game situations and your minutes on the field will be limited.

5.) ALL BUSINESS. Every time we step on the field we will do so with a business-like attitude. We are here to get better EVERYDAY. Be at practice ON TIME, ready to WORK HARD mentally and physically. LISTEN to your coaches. DO NOT get discouraged by mistakes, WE ALL make them. LEARN from them and move on.
