Ashland, OR- SOU defeated San Jose State University Saturday by the score of 13-12 at Raider Stadium.  The Raiders needed another 4th quarter comeback to seal their 2nd straight one goal victory.

San Jose started the game off fast scoring their first goal just one minute and 16 seconds in to the game.  Four minutes later the Raiders would answer as Freshman #11 Spencer Burch found the back of the net after beating his man.  The Raiders took their first lead of the game just 46 seconds later as Freshman #19 Colin Frank found Sophomore #94 Connor Mason open for his first of 5 goals on the day.  San Jose would tie the game less then 2 minutes later in what would be a back and forth game featuring 9 tie scores, 5 lead changes, and neither team led by more then 2 goals.

SOU's defense was led again by Freshman Goaltender #24 Cameron Saechao who recorded 14 saves.  Freshman long-stick midfielder #13 Alec Ponce also led the defense by causing 5 turnovers, picking up 6 ground balls, and had one shot which hit a pipe.

At the start of the 4th the Raiders found themselves down by one goal but not for long as Sophomore #2 Auberon Dones won the faceoff forward to himself pushing the ball to #11 Burch to tie the game just 7 seconds into the final quarter.  San Jose would re-claim the lead one minute later as the Raiders found themselves man down due to a slashing penalty.  SOU would answer with two quick goals just one minute apart to take the lead 12-11 with 11:33 to go in the game.  #5 for San Jose would score his 5th goal of the game with 4:57 left to tie the game at 12-12.  As he has done so many times throughout his career Senior #29 Spencer Pregal would come up huge for the Raiders scoring the game winner with just :42 seconds left in the game.  #29 beat his man, ran through two San Jose St. slides and scored the game winner one-handed.

A note-worthy performance was put in by Freshman #19 Colin Frank who scored his first career assist, his first career goal, and then added two more in for a hat trick on the day.  Sophomore #94 Connor Mason led the Raiders with 5 goals and 1 assist.

Game ball went to #29 Pregal for his 3 goals and 2 assists including the game winning goal.
