Chip Hiemenz will be serving as Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Mustangs. Hiemenz is a 2006 graduate of SMU where he was a four-year starter and four-year team captain. He was also recognized as an Academic All-American. Off the field, Hiemenz was involved in a number of student organizations and served as Student Body President. Prior to coming to SMU, Hiemenz played high school lacrosse at MICDS in St. Louis, Missouri. There, he was a three-year starter, earning 1st Team All-State honors his junior and senior seasons while serving as captain his senior year. At MICDS, he was part of a state championship and state finalist squad. Hiemenz attended Peak 200 Lacrosse Camp and was a two-year starter and team captain on the Vail Shootout Missouri All-Star Team. Professionally, Hiemenz works for SMU in the Development and Alumni Affairs division focusing on young alumni.
