Santa Clara Finishes 3rd in the Western Women's Lacross League

The Broncos finished in third place of the WWLL Playoffs this past weekend.  Santa Clara defeated UC San Diego in their first round game but ultimately lost in the semi finals to Cal Poly by a margin of 17-10 after being up 7-5 at halftime.  The Broncos went on to face UCLA on Sunday in the 3rd/4th place game.  They outscored the Bruins 21-7 to finish third and are now hoping to gain a bid to the WDIA National Championship Tournament Field which will be selected on Monday.
