SCU Men's Lacrosse Press Release

To all who are affiliated with and who follow the Santa Clara Men’s Lacrosse Club: 

The club would like to announce that the SCU Lacrosse program will be headed in a new direction of leadership.  After twenty-five years of hard work and dedication, Gary Podesta will no longer be coaching the program.  His legacy of managing and running the club, his demand for high work ethic, and his contagious competitiveness will always be remembered and adopted in the many successful years we hope to have in the future.  The countless hours he has put into this team will not go unnoticed and the team wishes him the best of luck in his future ventures. 

The team will be welcoming in Bruce Meierdiercks as the new Interim Head Coach.  Bruce has an extensive past devoted to lacrosse.  He helped Santa Clara to one of its most successful seasons through 1992 and 1994 and also developed the NCAA Div. II program at St. Andrews University in North Carolina. 

We look forward to successful season under a new direction of leadership.
